"Landscape photography has the capacity to capture powerful visual expressions within the confluences of moment and place. The process of transferring light and form via a large format camera into an image on film is unto itself a unique and satisfying process. It is however the end result, the image, which actually creates the most profound statement and evokes emotional, actionable responses from those who view that outcome.

In essence, creating an image on film is about managing the outcome of each experience within that fleeting moment of time. In turn, the image of that captured moment is shared with the intention of prompting emotional responses and contemplation. If that response manifests itself in the form of a heightened awareness of the viewer’s connectivity with the natural world, then that image has served a useful purpose. It is when that response prompts the viewer to a lifestyle sensibility for preserving our natural heritage that the most powerful outcome has been achieved by the landscape photographer and their work." - Ron Leonetti |
